The DOT is Savannah’s fare – free Downtown Transportation system and around Savannah’s beautiful Historic District. Swing through downtown aboard the Express Shuttle, ride the rails on the Historic River Street Streetcar or hop on the ferry to Hutchinson Island and the Savannah International Trade & Convention Center. It’s fun, it’s fast – and best of all, it’s free!
Belles Ferry Chatham Area Transit (CAT)

Belles Ferry provides water transportation from Savannah's Historic District to Hutchinson Island. The fare is free. The ferry departs every 10 to 15 minutes and crosses the river in just two minutes flat. Catch it at the City Hall dock to The Westin Savannah Harbor Golf Resort and Spa. Each ferry seats approximately 49 passengers. Services operate daily from 7 a.m. – 11 p.m.
Chatham Area Transit (CAT)

The CAT Shuttle transports passengers in the Historic District and provides free and convenient service from downtown hotels and the Savannah Visitor Information Center to many historic sites. The Shuttle also connects to other bus routes serving the downtown area. Fares for fixed – route, one – way bus service are 75 cents; a $12 CAT flash pass is good for unlimited rides for a week.
